Pros and Cons of Being Married in Early Age

Rishta and shadi in Pakistan are the most serious issues no matter it is in the middle class or elite class. It is the do and die situation in the countryside of Pakistan. The issue is so engraved in the social pattern that parents are always wishing their children to get married as soon as possible. From this thinking the issue of early marriage erupts which has its own pros and cons. Its major proponent, Islam encourages early marriages due to numerous social, psychological and health related consequences whereas science discourages early marriage by harping on the same issues as its opponent do.

Pros:

One can escape Immoral activities

Early marriages are good to go because it saves you from other false activities that are harmful for your image, character and for your social composure. Islam forbids from illegal relationship. Avoiding marriage can lead one to establish such relations. In Pakistan, social fabrics are woven with the sweetness of rishtay which is contrary to the western society where individualism has devolved them the right of freedom and there is no difference between moral and immoral.

With Early marriage parents are satisfied because marriage is too big a deal in Pakistan

It gives parents a sense of relaxation specially in the case of their daughters. Girls matters in Pakistan are too sensitive to be pondered upon. Parents concern over early settlement of their daughters is quite reasonable.

It gives you a friend, partner in the disguise of husband/wife

Husband/wife in early age is blessing in disguise. One cannot survive being alone specially in the time when he/she needs a friend, a partner the most other than her/his parents to share her/his emotional burden. So early marriage is not a bane of humanity at all it has some boon in it.

Burden of Responsibility

There are some disadvantages of early marriage as well. It settled an unbearable burden on the person either let it be male or female. Running household and bearing child are the non-controversial products of marriage. Immediate burden comes in the form of child which states the situation like children are having a child.

Female health

Women health is the most precarious a matter in Pakistan. Pakistan lag in the ranking of women health where I find early marriage is one of the main issues. Bearing child in early age is risky for her health where she can even lose her life...
